Britain: cancel the osteopath – Ford have it covered!

Britain: cancel the osteopath – Ford have it covered!

Believe it or not, this time last year I wasn’t in my pyjamas writing a blog, lukewarm tea by my side and reruns of Bake Off droning on the tele in the background whilst simultaneously staring into the impending abyss of another lockdown and the reality of life under Tier 4 restrictions… I was out in the field, shooting a project that at the time I couldn’t of guessed would have such meaning and resonance a year on, in addition to that which it had at the time of its conception and release. C.G.I. – Capture, Generate…..Innovate!

For those of you with long memories, my ‘CGI journey’ started in 2004, setting up a CGI production studio AIR-CGI (Automotive Image Rendering) in 2006 and creating Ford USA’s first CGI press ad campaign for their new model, the Ford Edge. Our Mars press ad with AMVBBDO London won a Campaign Photo Award shortly after, […]

Poetry In Motion

This week I purchased a Minolta XG-1 – what a blast from the past, old school analogue. I spent some of this morning re-acquainting myself with the all manual controls (took about 2 minutes!) – and ordering Ilford HP5 B&W film for it (when was the last time you did that, I ask?) This was […]

Finding Epic 49° 10′ 49.30″ N -2° 14′ 45.06″ W

Head South, not North – in the UK when most people think 4×4 locations they think Scotland, Wales & all points north – yawn, predictable and possibly rather cliched! But then I suppose if you are a clothing company – waxed jackets, wellies & tweed caps with gundogs…why not? To find something different you need […]

The Dark Side…Rolls-Royce Black Badge

We went to The Dark Side with Rolls-Royce, when we were invited to shoot a very special collection of 40 Wraiths and 30 Dawns. The Black Badge Collection named Adamas feature laboratory grown black diamonds encrusting the Black Badge Infinity symbol amongst many other special details, the Spirit of Ecstasy in machined carbon fibre and […]

Saatchi & Saatchi…and MadCow

Just released this week is the latest press campaign commissioned by Saatchi & Saatchi London for Zovirax/GSK. We were tasked with creating a press ad to fit both 48 sheet and 6 sheet poster format executions, shooting models, props, vehicles and landscapes on location then integrating with CGI elements of a virus and force field. Production […]

Gone in 178 seconds…film #MadeLikeAGun

The Royal Enfield ‘Pegasus’ limited edition motorcycles went on sale this week…and were gone in 178 seconds! It was an amazing project to be involved with especially for someone like me whose first love at 16 was motorbikes prior to getting into cars. Great to be involved in such a unique backstory meeting WW2 veterans, […]
