#WFH Harniman Trumps!

Anyone for a game of Top Trumps??

Just like the rest of the world, we are confined to barracks for the foreseeable…In common with most freelance creatives and performers, actors, musicians, the list goes on…I’ve had calls this week with clients of our imminent location commissions in Europe and UK and thanks to the COVID 19 outbreak, collectively the situation we find ourselves in is unprecedented.

So, scrolling through my phone apps, as many of us probably are at the moment, I re-discovered this little gem…

For the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Spark 44 and Jaguar Land Rover worked with the owner of the Top Trumps brand to create a patented Top Trumps category as regular playing cards and app allowing fans to play the popular childhood game using Jaguar and Land Rover models.
On that theme, I trawled through my Jaguar Land Rover shoot archive & made up my own favourite JLR Top Trumps selection, so you can play along at home….after you’ve responded to all those video conference calls from your boss, naturally…!

Seeing as I’ve always been part of the #WFH movement, but I’m now being joined remotely by a truck-load of friends and colleagues, I thought I’d help find creative ways of passing the time with you – unless you’re using the time to catch up on all my other blogs, of course….. 😉

So before we start this caravan rolling, here’s the ‘rules’ …..

How to Play ‘Harniman Trumps’: Any number of people can play – just make sure you all have my blog pulled up.

1. Choose a Harniman Trumps picture from the ones shown below, but don’t let anyone know which picture you’ve chosen.
2. Choose one category from underneath the selected picture and share the Super Stat (e.g. Cool Factor, NAH Rating etc.) with your friends on the social media platform of your choice – I have several(!).
3. The other players then share with you the stat in the same category from the picture they’ve selected (hopefully it will be a different image to yours, but it doesn’t matter if they are the same). The one with the best or highest value wins.
4. In a tie breaker situation – everyone just chooses another picture,and uses the same category.

HARNIMAN TRUMPS: Shot in a secure warehouse – this iconic concept car was designed by Ian Callum and the team, it was unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2003.

Jaguar Racing – I-Type:

HARNIMAN TRUMPS: Shoot commissioned by JLR’s ad agency Spark 44 London. The concept was to highlight the electric aspect of the cars using the light tube props set-up. Deliverables – a suite of stills of the I-Pace and I-Type as single and dual images

Jaguar F-Type – ‘The Art of Sound’ project

HARNIMAN TRUMPS: Commissioned by JLR’s ad agency Spark 44 London. Shot on location at JLR’s sound chamber, the concept was based around the changing designs on the Chladni plates generated by the engine sound – a set of stills supporting the TVC.

Jaguar F-Pace – ‘Blacklight’ project

HARNIMAN TRUMPS: Commissioned by JLR’s ad agency Spark 44 London. Shot on location at The Printworks in London – a complex set up involving water droplets & UV light for a set of stills supporting the TVC.

Jaguar C-XF

HARNIMAN TRUMPS. The C-XF image collection was shot in a secure location and in studio for the secret concept launch. The images were so well received we were subsequently asked to shoot the new XF in Monaco for the global new model launch. It was the first new model for Jaguar for a while, so an important set of images.
