Driven Chat – interview with John Marcar & Amy Shore

A pre-Christmas chat over coffee and mince pies at my gaff – along with a few interruptions by the menagerie! Amy took some rather nice pics of the cat (and me 😉 ) over some lively conversation. All images by Ms Shore 🙂 On IG: https://www.instagram.com/p/CoCDbORo746/ Have a listen on their podcast….  https://shows.acast.com/e32557d2-0b08-4fd1-8997-5f9649901294/63d3a6a8dd7a730010f18584

A’TONE’Ment

Do you remember the blog I wrote a few weeks ago where I mentioned that I’d treated myself and purchased an original analogue Minolta XG1, which was the 35mm film camera I was given when I was 15, sort of the inspiration for my career? Well, I don’t know if any of you out there […]

The Importance of Being Earnest

The Importance of Being Earnest

You wouldn’t necessarily have thought that one of my many sojourns to the States (Michigan, Utah, Texas, California etc…) shooting the latest GMC Sierra, Canyon or Hyundai Grandeur (to name a few) would have provided the opportunity for a bit of soul-searching, but they did. The on-location sets could be gruelling, especially in full sun […]

Ford v Ferrari

Quite simply – I love this job. I get to combine my two true passions – cars and photography. I love what I do and nothing great comes from mediocrity. Passion, performance, dedication – it not only builds race cars but it’s what keeps me on location until 1am only to have to start again at 4am. And I love cars – what I do supremely interests me and there is always, always something new to see, do, learn and appreciate about them. Every single shoot, with every single type of vehicle I try and seek out the designer and then barrage them with questions about why they do what they do.
